<p>An automatic test tube cap removal apparatus is provided to remove caps of plural test tubes supported in a rack delivered along a rack transporting path, at the same time. An automatic test tube cap removal apparatus is composed of: a cap removing device(11) having the cap removal position of a test tube for receiving objects; a test tube rack erectly holding plural test tubes fitted with caps, in a line and installing the test tube at the cap removal position; a clamping tool disposed at the cap removal position to clamp plural test tubes arranged in the test tube rack; and a cap removing unit positioned at the cap removal position. The cap removing unit is moved upward to remove the caps from some of plural test tubes supported by the test tube rack and combined with the caps to support the caps at the same time, and moved upward to remove the caps from the rest test tubes and combined with the caps to support the caps at the same time. The cap removing unit comprises a pair of combining members moving forward and backward for the cap and moving forward to clamp each cap laterally; a lifting tool moving up a pair of combining members in turn and removing the caps from each test tube by lifting the combining members; and a cap guide member separating the cap from the combining member and dropping the separated cap when the combining member moves back from the cap.</p> |
