NEW CHIRAL COPPER CATALYST AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING N-ACYLATED AMINO ACID DERIVATIVE BY USING THE SAME

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a catalyst system which makes easy, efficient and stereoselective Mannich reaction possible from an N-acylimino ester having an aromatic cyclic substituent at the molecular end as the starting substance.

SOLUTION: A new chiral copper catalyst obtained by mixing a compound expressed by CuClO44CH3CN with (S)-xylyl-Bis[bis(R1)phosphino]-1,1'-binaphthyl expressed by formula (II) is used. In formula (II), R1represents an aromatic group which may have a substituent.
