<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a frozen dessert composition for a pet which is used as a between-meal foods for a small animal such as a dog, etc., raised as a pet, so as to simultaneously attain nutrient supply in appetite decrease and maintenance of regulation of body temperature by properly cool a throat, especially at a high temperature of summer, etc., and a frozen dessert for a pet using the same and to provide a method for producing the frozen dessert for a pet. <P>SOLUTION: The powdery frozen dessert composition comprises a milk component as a main component and contains a functional component. The composition is dissolved and frozen to form a sherbet-like frozen dessert. The frozen dessert for a pet is obtained by dissolving the frozen dessert composition for a pet in water to give a liquid composition and solidifying the liquid composition into a sherbet state. The method for producing the frozen dessert for a pet comprises dissolving and diluting the frozen dessert composition for a pet in water of 15-25 times as much as the composition to give the liquid composition and freezing the liquid composition to give the sherbet-like frozen dessert. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
