A cruise control method of a vehicle is provided to keep constant-speed traveling without deviating from a target speed value, although vehicle speed is finely changed within a short time, by taking an average of four vehicle speed signals and using the result value as an input value. A cruise control method of a vehicle comprises the steps of: inputting vehicle speed pulse detected by a vehicle speed sensor, to an ECU(Electronic Control Unit); recognizing the input pulse for loop time of regular intervals in the ECU, especially for three past loop time and the present loop time; calculating the vehicle speed by taking an average of each pulse time input during three past loop time and the present loop time, in the ECU; and using the average vehicle speed as a vehicle speed input value in executing an auto cruise operation.
