<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polypeptide useful for exploration and development of a therapeutic agent for diseases associated with a diacylglycerol (DG) lipase, a DNA encoding the polypeptide, an antibody recognizing the polypeptide and a method for utilizing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The polypeptide is produced by obtaining the DNA encoding the polypeptide having a DG lipase activity from a human brain. The antibody recognizing the polypeptide is produced.
