PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow the connection state of fiber cables in the fiber channel switch to be easily confirmed in a short time. SOLUTION: Each of switch devices N1 (N=1 to 6) stores connection information of fiber cables L1-L8 installed in the fiber channel switch stores in a routing table N4 in advance. When a command transfer section 16 receives a connection diagnostic command from a diagnostic device 9, the command transfer section 16 selects the designated fiber cables L1, L2, receives connection information from command transfer sections 26, 56 that are connection destinations, a routing table 14 collates the connection information and allows the diagnostic device 9 to display the collation result on its monitor screen. A command transfer section, e.g. 26 receiving the connection diagnostic command selects the designated fiber cables L3-L5, a routing table 24 collates the connection information received from command transfer sections 36, 46, 66 that are connection destinations and transmits the collation result to a connection diagnostic command transmission source. |
