PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a warehouse having a high storage efficiency. SOLUTION: In a warehouse where a plurality of articles different in size are stored, stays are erected right and left at different intervals matching with the sizes of articles to be stored and the articles are received by two cargo receiving spaces provided in height positions, opposed to each other, of the stays. In this case, when a long article is stored or dispatched, two forks on which a long article is loaded are extended or contracted in a gap between the two articles. When an ordinary article is stored or dispatched, one fork on which the ordinary article is loaded is extended or contracted in a gap between the two articles.
