PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reinforcing rim to improve strength without increasing weight, in a rim for a vehicle formed of an aluminum alloy and a magnesium alloy. SOLUTION: A reinforcing ring 2 made of resin is fixed in a ring groove 6 formed by notching a part of a rim surface, for example, an outside surface extending from a flange part 3 to a bead part 4, and the outer peripheral surface of the bead part. A substance formed by impregnating carbon fibers with resin and a substance formed by impregnating glass fibers with resin are used as a reinforcing ring made of resin. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
