PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a vehicle part retracting device capable of retracting vehicle parts arranged at a position interfering with an air bag at the time of immediately before collision of a vehicle, or a sun visor device capable of retracting a sun visor body arranged in a compartment at the time of immediately before collision of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A vehicle collision estimating device 80 at least either detects or predicts collision of a vehicle, and a slide sun visor control ECU 70 controls a drive mechanism part 60 in a manner to move a sun visor body 32 at least whose one part is arranged in a compartment two a housing position based on at least one of input signals detecting collision and prediction from the vehicle collision estimating device 80.
