SWITCH ASSEMBLY FOR MOUNTING AIR BAG MODULE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a switch assembly with a simple constitution capable of effectively mounting an air bag module.

SOLUTION: The switch assembly 26D is provided with a switch base 136 fixed to a hub 12 of a handle by a switch base engagement member 140. An outline part 138 extending to an opposite direction to the switch base engagement member 140 is provided on the switch base 136. A switch connector 133 and a switch cap 130 engageable with an air bag cover 24 and urged to a direction leaving from the switch connector 133 by an urging member 132 are fitted thereto. An extending part 139 made of a conductive material of the switch connector 133 is bendable so as to contact with first and second metal wires 134, 135 disposed on the switch base 136 in the insulated state each other by butting to a projection 145 of the switch cap 130.
