<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing myocardium cells for a cell transplantation safely, simply and in a large amount, a preventing and treating agent for heart disease and its screening, etc. <P>SOLUTION: The myocardium precursor cells and myocardium like cells can be obtained from muscle without using embryonic stem cells or bone marrow cells and used for (a) the identification and evaluation of genes associated with myocardium differentiation and regeneration, (b) the cell transplantation in various diseases to begin with heart diseases such as heart failure, myocardial infarction, etc., (c) the search and evaluation of a compound promoting the myocardial differentiation, (d) the search and evaluation of a medicine for improving, cell transplantation efficiency (for the establishment and promotion of the transplanted cells on living body tissue and its function), (e) the production of a model animal for developing a treating agent for the heart failure, etc. The compound obtained by the search is used as a safe preventing and treating agent for the heart diseases. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
