PURPOSE: A folding/unfolding type portable chair is provided to help the user maintain comfort posture by head rest when he/she sits on the chair of a bus or a subway. CONSTITUTION: The folding/unfolding type portable chair(10) comprises a center back rest portion(11), which is configured to be folded to define an interior space, a sliding type support panel(13) installed inside the interior space to be exposed outside, and a head rest portion(14) located above the sliding type support panel, which is separable by the use of hooks or buttons(15). The support panel is formed at the lower side with a protrusion coming into contact with plural steps inside the back rest portion in order to adjust the height of the support panel.
