The inventive pneumatic actuator consists of a, for example, flat plate (1) that is fixed in a reference system (9). On one side of the plate (1), a fir st web (2) consisting of a high-strength and low-stretch woven is attached alon g a number of strips (3), for example, by adhering. A second web (4), preferab ly made of the same material, is placed on the first web (2) and is attached to this first web (2) along the strips (3). Bubbles (7) made of an elastic plastic are inserted between the strips (3) in the areas in which the first and second webs (2, 4) are not attached. These bubbles are sealed on both sides and are each provided with a valve (8). The bubbles (7) can be filled with a compressed gas via these valves (8). This causes the second web (4) t o bulge, and the resulting forces exert a bending moment onto the plate (1) whereby causing the plate to bend laterally. |
