COMPRESSED VIDEO IMAGE TRANSMISSION METHOD AND APPARATUS THEREFOR

摘要

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compressed image transmission apparatus capable of switching video images of a camera while discriminating which video image can be transmitted in the case of switching the video image at a receiver side while viewing a reference image.

SOLUTION: In the compressed image transmission system wherein desired compressed video data transmitted to a network from a plurality of transmission device is selected at a receiver terminal connected to a network and received by the receiver terminal, each transmission device transmits reference images corresponding to the respective compressed video data to the network, each receiver terminal displays the received reference image on a monitor, and an operator specifies the compressed video data to be received on the basis of the display state of the reference image.
