<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for recording optical information capable of easily deciding an optimal recording compensation value to prevent thermal interferences even when information recording is carried out at a very high density. <P>SOLUTION: A multipulse string constituted of the repetition of a mark and space which has a time length equivalent to one of combinations of mark lengths to be recorded and previous space lengths is trial-written on an optical information recording medium, optimal recording pulse conditions are decided for the combination from its reproducing signal and, for the other combination of the mark lengths to be recorded and the previous space lengths, recording pulse conditions are uniquely decided by utilizing the fact that heat diffusion by recording is decided only by the horizontal heat conductivity of a recording film. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
