METHOD FOR COMMUNICATION THROUGH MULTI-ACCESS NETWORK

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for communication, which reduces a processing load for the state management of multicast group participation and withdrawal by an IP node.

SOLUTION: The method for communication through a multi-access network is provided with a first node (1) for housing the access line of a user and performing the concentration/separation of Ethernet (registered trademark) frame and a second node (2) for housing the first node and performing processing of an IP packet. The network is divided into logic groups (3, 4 and 5) by each user between the first node and the second node. A single logic group (6) shared between users is set between the first node (1) and the second node (2) to communicate only a multicast packet through the logic group shared by the users. A VLAN only for multicast communication is set and only the multicast packet is communicated through the VLAN, thereby the load for the state management of multicast group participation and withdrawal of the second node can markedly be reduced.
