The invention relates to a fireproof housing, particularly an electrical fireproof distribution-board housing, comprising an upper shell (1) and a lower shell (2), whereby the upper shell (1) can be detached from the lower shell (2), and the upper shell (1) and the lower shell (2), when assembled, form a closed housing. The invention provides that: the upper shell (1) and the lower shell (2) each have an inner shell (3); an inner shell (3) of the upper shell (1) and of the lower shell (2) is mounted so that a space is enclosed between the upper shell (1) and one inner shell (3) and between the lower shell (2) and the other inner shell (3) respectively, and; a fireproofing agent (4) is introduced into the space enclosed between the upper shell (1) and the first inner shell (3) and into the space enclosed between the lower shell (2) and the other inner shell (3). This results in the formation of a light-weight fireproof housing that, in the event of a fire, preserves devices (6) located inside the fireproof housing whereby enabling them to function for a long time.
