<p>A stabilizing device (1) for a handheld camera, binoculars or other optical instrument, has an array of three rods (7,8,9) which are rigidly connected to and project from a base (2) upon which the optical instrument (3) is securely fixed. The rods are of equal length and have weights (4,5,6) at their outer ends arranged in a common plane. The rods lie at approximately one hundred and twenty degrees from each other in the common plane and each weight is thus approximately at the apex of an equilateral triangle.</p> |
