<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inexpensive ring conference system capable of switching communication paths for conference participation/retirement by decreasing occurrence of a sense of incongruity without the need for an echo canceller and a frame aligner or the like to prevent howling. <P>SOLUTION: The system switches the communication paths for conference participation/retirement when a video change is small and no voice exists or an utterer is changed. The system calculates a delay and delays transmission of data to compensate the delay difference at the switching of the communication path. Voice is transmitted by means of bands by the number of maximum simultaneous talkers and each terminal composes voices of terminals other than its own terminal and outputs the composed voice. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
