PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control the position of a clip to fit/attach a leader pin. SOLUTION: In mounting a magnetic tape MT with the leader pin 10 by driving the leader pin 10 to a clip 11 having an aperture 11A, a positioning tool 43 is pressed to the aperture 11A of the clip 11 in the driving position of the leader pin 10 and the end face of the aperture 11A is pressed by a slope 44A and/or a curved part 44B of the positioning tool 43, by which the direction of the aperture 11A and the driving direction of the leader pin 10 are aligned.
