PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a device for editing auxiliary video data, which enable editing auxiliary video data synchronously with video data without separating a system stream to perform editing and neither multiplexing again. SOLUTION: In an auxiliary video data editing device 3, an editing range determination part 5 determines an editing range, and an auxiliary video data substitution part 6 confirms the existence position of auxiliary video data existing within the editing range, and the auxiliary video data is written in the position of packet data other than video data, sound data, and auxiliary video data, which exist within the editing range, when the auxiliary video data exists on the outside of the editing range.
