The aim of the invention is to grip the head of a bottle using a packing tulip gripper in a secure manner that does not damage the surface of said bottle. To achieve this, an insert (5) consisting of flexible material, which can be deformed axially and radially inwards using a control piston (2) is provided in the housing (1) of the packing tulip gripper. The insert is characterised in that wall sections (5i) of a weaker material resistance are provided in the closed wall of said sleeve-shaped insert (5), said sections being formed by external grooves (5e), being distributed around the circumference and preferably extending along the entire axial length of the insert (5) and that support elements (5d), whose action is directed radially outwards, exert a force on the front end of the insert (5), which is supported on the front edge of the housing (1). |
