An optical collimator-use lens component comprising a thin tube and glass fixed in the inner hole of the thin tube with a specified-length insertion portion kept exposed and having an almost uniform refractive index, the cylindrical portion thereof being provided at each of the opposite ends thereof with a partially spherical lens having a translucent spherical surface with almost the same center of curvature and an adhesive for bonding the partially spherical lens to the thin tube. An axial deviation between the center axis of the thin tube and the optical axis of the partially spherical lens is within 5 mum. When an optical fiber is fixed in the inner hole, a capillary tube having an axial deviation of within 1.5 mum between the outer peripheral surface and the core center of the end surface of the optical fiber is inserted into the insertion portion of the thin tube, and the end surface of the optical fiber is fixed to a position within ± 40 mum of the focal point position of the partially spherical lens, an outgoing light has an outgoing light bend of within 0.2° with respect to the center axis of the thin tube.
