<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electronic shopping system to enable a purchaser to order a commodity which matches with the liking of the purchaser himself or herself from among information of a number of commodities. <P>SOLUTION: This system has a DTV commerce broadcasting station 100, various devices possessed by a user 115, an electronic shop 120, a financial institution 130, etc. The DTV commerce broadcasting station 100 is connected to the devices possessed by the user 115 through a satellite network 160, the DTV commerce broadcasting station 100 to the electronic shops 120 through the Internet 140, and the DTV commerce broadcasting station 100 to the financial institution 130 through a CAFIS network 150. The DTV commerce broadcasting station 100 provides commodity information to the user 115, provides commodity information to the user 115, receives an order for a commodity, and requests for credit or settlement to the financial constitution on behalf of the electronic shop 120.
