<p>The invention provides a cooking apparatus (1) with a drum (2) for an apparatus for heating, cooking, frying, or otherwise preparing a food product by the application of heat. The drum (2) is provided with at least one pocket or receptacle member in the form of a tube (3) extending through drum (2) and having perforated walls 4 at a lower end of the tube.
