The roof (2) of the vehicle (1) is made of three rigid sections with the front section engaging the bar at the top of the windscreen. The rear section includes the rear window. The roof is stowed into a compartment at the rear of the vehicle with an opening lid (3). The lid is made with horizontal front (4) and vertical rear (5) sections. The rear section may hinge rearward about a hinge at its bottom edge. The front section is wider than the rear section and can swing upwards on hinges at its rear edge (6). Catches may be released to allow the front section to hinge upward about its front edge.
