<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wedge for a treadboard easily and surely fixing the treadboard of stairs to a side frame. <P>SOLUTION: A wedge hole 5 is formed in the side frame 1 of the stairs. This wedge for the treadboard for fixing the treadboard 2 in the wedge hole 5 comprises a wedge body 8 and lock boards 9 additionally provided in its upper/lower both surfaces. The front/rear both surfaces of the lock board 9 are provided with first and second projections 14 and 15 inclined in the front rear reverse direction from each other along the front/rear longitudinal direction of the lock board 9. With the wedge body 8 driven in the wedge hole 5, the projecting end 14a of the first projection 14 bites the lower surface of the treadboard 2 and the lower wall 5b of the wedge hole 5 respectively and the projecting end 15a of the second projection 15 bites the upper surface 10 and the lower surface 11 of the wedge body 8 respectively. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO</p> |
