FLEXIBLE JOINT AND ITS MANUFACTURING METHOD

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a flexible joint hardly buckling even in a center portion and reducing strength deterioration even when it is decentered without particularly enlarging weight. SOLUTION: The flexible joint is provided with a flexible part 2 having metal flanges F, and an inner layer 3, a reinforcing layer 4 and an outside face rubber layer 5 between the flanges. The reinforcing layer 4 has a helical hard draw steel wire 6 with dense pitches in a center portion neighborhood and flange neighborhoods of the flexible part 2. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
