High pressure gas bottles are filled in an installation capable of handling up to twelve bottles at once. The connections to the bottles are mounted on vertical spring loaded arms which are pulled down to the required height, the gas being fed along a flexible pipe with a bowed form from a valve on the wall at the side. The bottles are mounted on a truck which is wheeled under the vertical arms. The feed valves branch off a common manifold mounted on the wall. The installation avoids the manual effort required to move bottles up to a loading point. |
