<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the work efficiency in replenishing a recording material to a sheet feeding unit and to improve the work efficiency in a jammed-sheet processing in a both-face transport unit, as for an image forming apparatus equipped with the sheet feeding unit and the both-face transport unit which can be freely attached/detached to/from the image forming apparatus main body. <P>SOLUTION: The holding bosses 6 and 7 of the both-face transport unit 47 are supported from below by the holding parts 11 and 12 of a sheet feeding unit 10. A switching lever 1 which is supported by the image forming apparatus main body M so as to freely swing is engaged with the attaching/holding boss 5 of the both-face transport unit 47. By drawing out the sheet feeding unit 10 to the right in this state, only the sheet feeding unit 10 can be drawn out. On the other hand, by drawing out the sheet feeding unit 10 to the right after releasing the switching lever 1 from engagement with the attaching boss 5, the both-face transport unit 47 can be drawn out together with the unit 10. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
