PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which prevents toner from leaking and scattering into the device from both ends of a developer carrier composing the developing device, thereby preventing soiling of an electrifier and image deterioration. SOLUTION: The overlapping part of a developer carrying area on a developing sleeve and a sealing member is limited to a part between a blade pole S2 and a transport pole N2.
