PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a locking/unlocking control device which can prevent locking/unlocking operation of a key if the operation is opposed to the will of the owner. SOLUTION: A communication control device 12 of the locking/unlocking control device intermittently outputs request signals to a predetermined area in the periphery of a door. When a microcomputer 23 is switched from a non- receiving state of ID code signals output from a portable machine 11 to a receiving state, or when the microcomputer 23 is switched from the receiving state of the ID code signals to the non-receiving state, it outputs the request signals at a second intermittent period which is shorter than a first intermittent period at which the request signals are output under normal conditions. Further, if the microcomputer 23 receives the ID code signals transmitted from the portable machine 11 in response to the request signals output at the second intermittent period, it releases door locks 7, 8.
