PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus designed so as to suppress occurrence of side fibers when bundling fiber strands which are spun. SOLUTION: The apparatus comprises a condensing zone arranged on the downstream side of a drawing zone of drawing equipment of a spinning machine and is designed to transport the fiber strands which are drawn through the condensing zone but still are nontwist with a transporting means. The condensing zone comprises a suction slit covered with the transporting means and side edges of the suction slit are designed as oblique fiber guide edges for arranging the fiber strands across the moving direction of the transporting means. The fiber guide edges are designed as flow deflecting edges in a manner so that air flowing in the suction slit has flow components on just the downstream side of the fiber guide edges. The flow components are directed across the fiber guide edges so as to separate from the suction slit in the top surface drawing of the fiber strands. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
