PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic flaw detection device not requiring a probe press-holding time until the echo height is stabilized, for detecting a flaw by scanning an inspection material continuously. SOLUTION: This ultrasonic flaw detection device 1 is equipped with the probe 11 having a contact face 111 projected downward so that only a range where a transmission/reception wave of an ultrasonic wave passes is brought into contact with the inspection material, for transmitting/receiving an SH wave, and a probe holder 12 for storing and holding the probe 11. The probe holder 12 is equipped with abutting parts 121 projected downward so as to abut on the inspection material on the opposite positions across the contact face 111 of the probe 11, a first elastic member interposed between the upper end 122 of the probe holder 12 and the opposite face to the contact face 111 of the probe 11, for energizing the probe 11 vertically downward to the inspection material, and second elastic members 126 interposed between the horizontal direction side of the probe holder 12 and horizontal direction both sides of the probe 11.
