PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inspection apparatus for a front-and-rear-wheel interlocking braking system by which a high-accuracy inspection result can be obtained without depending on an operator's skill degree, which shortens the inspection time of the interlocking braking system and whose inspection efficiency can be enhanced and to provide an inspection method for the interlocking braking system. SOLUTION: The front and rear wheels of a two-wheeled vehicle are supported by support rollers corresponding to them, and an antilock braking system and the interlocking braking system are made to act on both wheels. Values regarding rotational speeds of the rollers supporting the wheels subjected to the antilock braking system are measured by measuring means 20, 31. On the basis of the values obtained by the measuring means 20, 31, a difference between peak values due to an increase or a decrease in the rotational speeds of both wheels generated due to a first OFF operation of the antilock braking system is found by a computing means 44. Whether the difference between the peak values obtained by the computing means 44 is within a prescribed range or not is decided by a decision means 45. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
