PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gel-like composition which is suitably used for various uses especially in a cosmetic-preparing field and has excellent storage stability. SOLUTION: This gel-like composition prepared from an organic modified clay mineral and an oil is characterized by using a clay mineral modified with dimethyldistearyl ammonium as the organic modified clay mineral, using as the oil a fatty acid alkyl ester derived from a fatty acid and an aliphatic alcohol, containing unsaturated fatty acids at a rate of≥50 wt.% in the whole constituting fatty acids and having a melting point of≤25°C, and containing the oil in an amount of 50 to 90 wt.% based on the total amount of the organic modified clay mineral and the oil.
