PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a roll of flat web material capable of simplifying preparation for a flying splice operation and also improving reliability of the operation. SOLUTION: In the method for manufacturing the roll of flat web material, a flat web is manufactured with an ordinary method at first, then the flat web is wound to form a roll.
