<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device where toner is stably supplied to a toner supply part for supplying the toner to a toner carrier. <P>SOLUTION: As to the developing device, a device main body 10 is separated into a toner storage part 14 in which the toner (t) is stored and the toner supply part 15 for supplying the toner to the toner carrier 11 by a partitioning member 12 having an aperture part 13, and an opening/closing member 16 for opening/ closing the aperture part is provided to guide the toner in the toner storage part to the aperture part by the feeding blade 17b of a toner feeding member 17 so as to supply it to the toner supply part. In the device, the length b1 of the feeding blade in its longitudinal direction, the length b2 of the opening/ closing member in its longitudinal direction, the thickness t1 of the feeding blade, the thickness t2 of the opening/closing member, the bending stress σ1 in the feeding blade, the bending stress σ2 in the opening/closing member, the length L1 from the attaching part of the feeding blade to the edge thereof, the length L2 from the attaching part of the opening/closing member to the edge of the aperture part on an opposite side, and the weight Q of the toner guided to the aperture part by the feeding blade are set to satisfy a specified condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO |
