PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the accuracy of finding an object. SOLUTION: A monitoring device is provided with a camera head capable of photographing a plurality of monitoring areas, a detection means for executing a color extraction image processing, a time difference image processing and a background difference image processing so as to detect a monitoring object on the basis of images obtained by performing photographing by the camera head, a command reception means (S01) for receiving a command for remote control, and a command execution means (S03) for executing a processing corresponding to the received remote control command on condition that the object is not detected by the detection means (NO in S02).
