摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic wave transmission/reception type flowmeter capable of satisfactorily measuring a flow rate even if the fluid, which is to be measured, contains air bubbles and solid matters. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic wave sensor type vortex flowmeter 10 comprises a flowmeter body 12 in which a flow path 22 is formed, a vortex generator 14 provided on the flow path 22, and ultrasonic wave transmission/reception sensors 16 and 18 so provided as to sandwich the flow path 22. Widths W1 and W2 of the ultrasonic wave transmission/reception sensors 16 and 18 are larger than a diameter D1 of the flow path 22 of the flowmeter body 12. Thus, a region S1 formed between sound wave transmission/reception surfaces of the ultrasonic wave transmission/reception sensors 16 and 18 is so constituted as to include the entire width D1 in cross-sectional direction of the flow path 22. The ultrasonic wave transmitted from the transmission sensor 16 is propagated over the entire width D1 of the flow path 22 and received by the entire surface of the reception sensor 18.
