PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a refrigerant leakage detector for a freezer securely sensing refrigerant leakage by a simple device. SOLUTION: This refrigerant leakage detector for the freezer 1 sealed with hydrocarbon refrigerant comprises: a compressor input detecting means 12 for detecting input of a compressor 2; and a determining means 14 for determining refrigerant leakage when the input of the compressor 2 detected by the compressor input detecting means 12 increases in an operation state with the evaporating temperature within a constant range.
