PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To safely change a setting in an electric water heater setting the temperature of additional high-temperature hot water into two steps or more. SOLUTION: When the set temperature of the additional high-temperature hot water is changed, a limit is provided in changing over from a low temperature to a high temperature (longer pushing of a changeover switch) (step 2→step 10) so as not to be easily changed, while there is no limit in changing over from the high temperature to the low temperature (step 21). When the water filling is completed in an additional high-temperature hot water 80°C mode, it is reset to an additional high-temperature hot water 60°C mode (step 20). When the switch is left set to the high temperature side, the additional high-temperature hot water 60°C more is set after a lapse of a prescribed time. COPYRIGHT: (C)2003,JPO
