PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the size and weight of a compressor by efficiently cooling a compression part and a driving motor. SOLUTION: This compressor is provided with a cylindrical fan guide 22 extending to an axial front side from a outer peripheral side of a stator 15 of the driving motor 14. A motor side cooling fan 28 is disposed within the fan guide 22 by being located on a front side of the stator 15. As a result, all cooling air generated within the fan guide 22 by the motor side cooling fan 28 is made to flow to the stator 15 to cool the driving motor 14. Cooling air is made to flow between the fan guide 22 and the stator 15, and the stator 15 is directly cooled from the outer peripheral side. As a result, a high performance motor having a small size and a large output is used and the compressor 1 is reduced in size and weight by improving cooling efficiency of the driving motor 14.
