PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high molecular weight epoxy resin required for obtaining a composition for an electric laminate excellent in thermal resistance, low water absorption, electric characteristics, moldability, flexibility, impact resistance and adhesivity, solving problems occurred in conventional high molecular weight epoxy resin. SOLUTION: This high molecular weight epoxy resin with 10,000 to 200,000 weight-average molecular weight is expressed by formula (1), wherein A means a group expressed by formulae (2) to (4), and B represents a hydrogen atom or a group expressed by formula (5).
