PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recoating method for an optical fiber which is easy to manufacture and has high reliability. SOLUTION: The method includes a process of mounting a mold on a bare fiber part of an optical fiber fusion-splicing connection part, a process of supplying resin to a cavity part of the mold, a temporary setting process of half-setting the resin by irradiating the resin-supplied cavity part in the mold with setting energy, a deburring process of exposing the half-set resin and removing burrs formed of resin projecting from the mold, and a setting process of setting the resin by irradiating the resin with setting energy.
