PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing device which prevents the occurrence of electrostatic offset regardless of an environmental change by using an existing configuration. SOLUTION: The fixing device 12 carries out fixing on a recording medium by sandwiching and transporting a recording medium with an unfixed image held thereon while applying heat and pressure to the recording medium, thereby fusing the toner of the unfixed toner and causing permeation of the toner. In the fixing device, there is provided a pair of rollers 12A and 12B which form a nip through which the recording medium is transported, ball bearings 27 and 28 are used as bearings for the rollers 12A and 12B, respectively, and a conductive, heat-resistant grease 30 is used as a lubricant applied to the ball bearings 27 and 28.
