PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for simply and efficiently producing halogenofluoroalkanes. SOLUTION: The method for producing the halogenofluoroalkanes represented by general formula (3) (wherein, X denotes a halogen atom other than fluorine; R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>may be the same or different and denote each hydrogen atom or a 1-5C straight-chain or a 1-5C branched lower alkyl group; and n denotes 1-9) is carried out as follows. Primary alcohols represented by general formula (1) (wherein, X denotes a halogen atom other than the fluorine; R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>may be the same or different and denote each hydrogen atom or a 1-5C straight- chain or a 1-5C branched lower alkyl group; and n denotes 1-9) are treated with a compound represented by general formula (2) (wherein, R<SB>1</SB>, R<SB>2</SB>, R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>may be the same or different and denote each a substituted or an unsubstituted saturated or unsaturated alkyl group; R<SB>1</SB>and R<SB>2</SB>or R<SB>3</SB>and R<SB>4</SB>may be bound to form a ring containing nitrogen atom or the nitrogen atom and other heteroatoms).
