PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a piroxicam-containing aerosol composition free from the troubles of the deposition of piroxicam hydrate and anhydride during storage, the lowering of the antiinflammatory analgesic effect and the clogging of a spray nozzle and provide an aerosol agent produced by using the composition. SOLUTION: The piroxicam-containing aerosol composition is composed of a propellent and a stock liquid containing piroxicam, an inorganic and/or organic base, a solubilizing agent and a 1-4C anhydrous alcohol. The content of the propellent is≥20 wt.% and <50 wt.% in the composition. The aerosol agent is produced by filling the piroxicam-containing aerosol composition in an aerosol container.
