MOLD FOR MOLDING FOAMABLE RESIN AND MOLDED ARTICLE

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold for molding a foamable resin capable of enhancing the mechanical strength of a molded article with no mutual fusion-bonding failure of foamable particles, and the molded article. SOLUTION: The mold for molding the foamable resin is equipped with first and second molds 1 and 2 provided with a large number of steam holes 22 and 23. A cavity formed by fitting the first and second molds 1 and 2 to each other is filled with foamable resin particles and steam is brought into contact with the foamable resin particles through a large number of the steam holes to manufacture a foamed resin molded article. The steam holes of the first mold and the steam holes of the second mold are positionally shifted in such a state the first and second molds are fitted to each other.
