PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator balance weight shipping and carrying-in method capable of improving a work efficiency for shipping an existing balance weight from a hoistway to an entrance.SOLUTION: The method of the invention comprises: a foothold installation step for installing a foothold 12 in a pit 101; a balance weight support step for supporting a balance weight 103 using a chain block 22 supported by a balance weight guide rail device 102; a balance weight lowering step for, after performing the foothold installation step and the balance weight support step, in a state in which, a first end of the balance weight 103 is mounted on a first bogie 31A installed on the foothold 12, lowering the balance weight 103 by drive of the chain block 22, moving the first bogie 31A to an entrance 104, and displacing a position of the balance weight 103 from a standing position to a tilted position; and a balance weight shipping step for, after performing the balance weight lowering step, moving the first bogie 31A to the entrance 104, thereby shipping the balance weight 103 from the hoistway 100 to the entrance 104.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
